P2(Mark) gives a quick overview of We Love Katamari and panel discusses their memories of the game and first impressions.

Level 2 18:15

Discuss story of the game:

We Love Katamari tells two stories: a self-referential story of how the King of All Cosmos is reacting to the unexpected success of Katamari Damacy, and an origin story of how the King of All Cosmos became the King of All Cosmos, met his wife, and had his son.

Discuss gameplay mechanics: 33:35

  • Roll Stuff
  • Scale changes very cool
  • Easy to pick up and play
  • Levels not difficult
  • Forcing replay of stages to extend gameplay isn’t good design

Discuss sound: 1:05:53

  • Music is fun
  • Favourite tracks

Discuss graphics: 1:11:59

  • Aged well
  • Scale is impressive

Level 3 1:19:20

Lasting Impressions, overall rating and final thoughts. Did this make you want to play it again and if not, what would need to be changed? Would you suggest it to friends?

In a surprise to no one Matt Bandy is back on top of the Beat My Score challenge. Club founder Buried on Mars is running a charity event to raise money for the Heart Research Institute. The CC Video Game Awards show and CCABC round out our announcements.

Nintendo stirs the pot with a couple of tweets and a rumour. Do social media managers hold an important position among the game industry? If you sold your WiiU things are looking good for you as Nintendo brings over all the hits! P1 clearly has no idea what is considered a spoiler and what isn’t as he talks about Get Out.
