Final Fantasy delayed, Retro Fandango moving to a new home, spotlighting a great reviewer and cheese whiz from the jar. Combine that with a marry, fuck, kill of Birdo and Dixie Kong makes for a wild ride this week on CCWeekly.
Nintendo is a low-key bully, Richard is a PACMAN score tease and one of the Bros loves peanut butter iceream!
Yes,this will be the last Retro Fandango on the Cartridge Club feed, and in true Fandango fashion we leave behind a giant 3hr 40 minute stain! We probably won't be getting our rent deposit back. But this is what happens when you give us almost a month off!
Our guest, Chris Roberts from the NARC podcast joins us to discuss purging collections, an Atari 5200 holding a water pipe for 30 years,The Killing Joke, and we test him with some Contra trivia. Ram Vox watches some Dirty Harry which starts a Dirty Harry vs Mad Max war,and tries a Call of Duty game. BuriedOnMars adds a PS4 to his collection and gives the newest Ratchet and Clank game the praise it deserves; And is confronted by his niece and nephew for his Ghostbusters hate. We talk a deep look at what exactly a fanboy is and trash talk our way through the Beat My Score discussion. News covers the Shovel Knight hitting Japan, the NES Classic, Nintendo NX rumors, and how horrible modern day Activision can be. The CartridgeClub game of the month Shovel Knight, last month's game Majora's Mask and more all in this episode of RETRO FANDANGO!
This week we cover some Sonic news as well as Nintendo Power being uploaded to archive.org. We talk about what's going on in the Club and have a discussion on physical versus digital games. In the most explosive #CCAnswers ever we talk about hard games, ripped t-shirts and favourite sandwiches... Do not miss this one!
July was a little creepier this year and no that’s not because P1 is back but rather because the club was playing The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. This is certainly one of the darker entries in the Zelda series and has always been cast aside as being too different or too un-Zelda like. It’s gained a cult following over the years and this month the club has decided to see if it’s as much as a stinker as they thought or has their been a gem masked under all that darkness.
This month the Cartridge Bros are joined by three incredible guests: A legend in his own right and the creator of the Barrie Game Exchange, Nintendo Hodge! As well, two of the boys from the amazing gaming podcast Bonus Barrel, Rob and Leff!
Will the club members enjoy themselves more this time through? Did anyone actually like it back in the day? Does the game make some people feel like they’re members of the “Make a Wish” foundation? Will Hodge be selling his copy at the Barrie Game Exchange? Do the Bonus Barrell boys damage it with their recommendation system? Find out the answers to these questions and more this month on, The Cartridge Club!
Nintendo NX and financial reports news, Microsoft deals for Club members and your weekly CartridgeClub updates. Plus find out which bro hates leaks and which one thinks Nathan Drake is sexy!
Chicken nuggets and toilet paper? The Barrie Game Exchange and P1 going a little over the top on a pair of topics. All that and more intros week's #CCWeekly
The CartridgeClub's very own news show with hosts P1 and P2. This week we talk about PokemonGO, what's happening in the QDawg house and our thoughts on the STC road show.
We spotlight Bonus Barrel, one of our favourite podcasts and answer questions from the listeners. Which bro can take down a footlong? Who is confused as to how babies are made? Watch now to find out.
Fandango welcomes back Chris aka Nintendo Hodge to chat about the
upcoming Barrie Game Exchange! Vox is sick again, but that doesn't
stop the Fandango train from chuggin'! This month we get hot and
steamy while talking about the benefits of drinking ice water, we get
a Barrie Game Exchange exclusive, highlight some great episodes of
the Twilight Zone, introduce the new Beat My Score challenge, and
talk strategies for the Cartridge Club game of the month Majora's
Mask! Oh yeah, and there was something about a cosplay thing and a #1Console challenge. Or
whatever. Get it all right here! Delivered Lazily, unorganized,
hot, and steamy!
Is it just me or did June go by in a flash? This month we were playing Sonic! The whole club was playing the original Sonic trilogy and Sonic+Knuckles but for the 25th anniversary of the first game we are mainly focusing on the original for the club podcast.
This is P2’s last month hosting without his better half but luckily he was able to be joined by 4 amazing guests, including the blogging legend herself, Lo Burton from "And The She Games". Youtube sensation and Sonic fan, Retro Pixil. The man who made the whole Sonic push happen, ItsRocketSuace and the club’s number one Third Eye Blind fan Jeremy3EB. Be sure to check out all of them out!
Do you like Sonic? Is he better than Mary-o? Does he still hold up today? Does anyone love Third Eye Blind more than Jeremy3eb? Will Lo call Curtiss out on the episode? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this months episode!
Let the conspiracies begin! What happened during our #1Console challenge segment will live in Fandango infamy and it would be impossible to sum it up in only a few sentences. Listen to it at 1X speed. Listen to it twice. Make your own conclusions if you must. All I can say is what you hear is exactly what happened. For sure.
But the #1Console challenge was only one small part of the show! Yoshi Knuckles visits to give away a S-Video modded Sega Genesis; we wrap up what happened with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo at E3 with a big wrap up; Ray Parker Jr’s Ghostbusters get a remix, The Barrie Game Exchange preparations are underway at the Mars household; a Patreon might be started for Ram Vox’s canoe fund; a possible Bulletstorm remaster; free PC games; Gazebo talk; the Cartridge Club game of the month and more all in this episode of Retro Fandango!
41 of Retro Fandango has us hanging with long time Cartridge Clubber
and host of the CAPMAX podcast and YouTube channel. Steven was a
great guest who gave us a little taste of the Vancouver Island life
and his love/hate relationship with Valve Software. Richard updates
us on his laser disc collection which may now include some Van Damn
and James Bond. Kevin shares his tales of the Waterloo Game Swap,
Durham Game Convention, and some garage sales. There is a #1Console
revelation, steak, hotdogs, pachinko, and the Cartridge Club game of
the month all cover right here on Retro Fandango!
P2 is blessed with a legendary co-host from the Start To Continue podcast: Joe! Also known as @ACDecepticon on twitter. They are joined by Cartridge Club Pillar: Dean from Round2Gaming! And this month the club is lucky to have not one but two of the Retro Nonsense crew: Duke and 8BitBob!
With a record breaking number of members playing along this month Donkey Kong Country was huge hit! Is anyone surprised it did better than God Hand? Did anyone complete the game 100%? Does either of the hosts have a hard time setting up Skype? Does this game have the best soundtrack of all time? Find out answers to these and more on this months podcast!
Another fun episode of Retro Fandango in the books! Yep, we're 40 now and so over the hill. But we have a fresh new quest to make us feel young and alive! Cartridge Clubber and from the YouTube channel Cannot be Tamed, Pam joins us for a straight up DeVito episode. The #1Console challenge is updated, we talk about what we've been playing, laser dics players, and Vox has seen the Force Awakens! We then talk about some of our favourite DOS games and which PC games from that era would make for a good Cartridge Club game of the month. News covers the media treating Paul Feig poorly, a new NES console with HDMI out, and Sega's virtual hub on Steam is doing very well. Steve Urkel, Planscape Torment, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic, and more all in this one episode!
Well we did it! 12 movies on one Fandango! We hope you like Friday the 13 because there wasn’t too much time to talk about much else. Our guest, Matt, aka Cygnus Destroyer, aka The LJN Defender, aka The Judge We talk a little about his favourite game of all time, then we jump right into Crystal Lake. All 10 Friday the 13th movies, the crossover with the Nightmare on Elm Street movie “Freddie Vs. Jason”, and the 2009 remake are covered. We talk about our favourite kills, who we thought was the best dressed, and who we wanted to see Jason take out the most! Vox and I had a good time hanging with Matt and hope to have him back soon! Ki ki ki… ma ma ma...
What a month for the Cartridge Club! For April we played God Hand, a controversial third person beat ‘em up sort of game. A ton of people chose to pass on God Hand this month, I can’t honestly blame them because if not for the club I too would have never played it; however, if you’re interested in hearing what the people who did play it have to say then you’ve come to the right spot!
This month P2 is joined by the “Sexy Conan O’Brien” of the Cartridge Club, Vintage Video Game Geek! As well the U.K. sentai legend himself, TokuJoe! And lastly, the one who not only mastered Normal mode of God Hand but bent the game over his lap and gave it a good spanking, MinotaurZombie!
Did everyone make it through the game? Does the game make fun of lots of stereotypes? Can you spank the male enemies as well as the female ones? Is the game as bad as some people have said? Find out here!
For episode 38 of Retro Fandango BuriedOnMars welcomes his new co-host JRocktheGameRocker! Yes, Ram Vox has been demoted to a guest. It was unclear if he would be able to make this one after his hometown was hit with two earthquakes. After Vox gives us a status update, we welcome long time Cartridge Clubber and first time Fandangler, RyHoMagnifico to the show. We talk a bit about what we’ve been playing, wrap up Miitomo Gate, and discuss Curtiss leaving the #1Console challenge. Since Microsoft announced they will be discontinuing manufacturing of the Xbox 360, we share some of our favorite games and red rings. News covers the Playstation 4.5, AC/DC bringing in Axl Rose to replace Brian Johnson, and we talk about the trailer for the new Ghostbusters game. The Cartridge Club game of the month only gets a brief mention since we are psyched for the SNES classic Donkey Kong Country in May. A smooth DeVito episode brought together by some solid guests. Don’t miss this one!
Big thanks to Duke from Retro Nonsense and Eric The Mighty Q Dawg for being our amazing guest and taking some time to talk about Pee Wee! We do take some time before we get to Pee-Wee's Big Adventure so this Fandango can flow naturally. We talked about games we've been playing,is Miitomo a game?, are the Cartridge Bros still in the #1Consolechallenge?, and there is some more three word review controversy. When we finally get to the Peester, Vox gives him the full on Jeopardy trivia treatment, and this one is a nail bitter that goes down to the wire! We talk about our favorite Pee Wee moments, characters, the dance, Large Marge and the super sexy Jan Hooks! Alright. Gas tank is empty and my bladder is full. Until next time Fandanglers!
March was a dark and scary month this year because the club was playing Alan Wake! P2 is lucky enough to have the "Barrie Game Exchange" legend himself, Kevin aka Buried on Mars as his co-host this month. The two are joined by Sarah(Kevin’s better half) from CaughtMeGaming, Sexy Ben from the Rad Rascals and All Gen Gamers podcasts as well as Youtube sensation Musty Hobbit!
Did everyone make it through this dark and spooky tale? Will you be able to make it through this whole podcast? Does this podcast even really exist? Does Kevin hate P2? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this 3 hour Cartridge Club podcast!
Getready to heat up and a possibly give in to the urge to remove an article of clothing or two. For only the 2nd time in Fandango lore, Vox and Mars carry a show by themselves... Well,2/3rds of a show. Our scheduled guest was unable to record due to illness and thevintagevideogamegeek himself stepped in at the last minute to donate an hour of his time. During what was spent with vintage, we established the brilliance of Shatner's rendition of Elton John's RocketMan, I let loose on the lousy 10% of the CC Google Hangouts that are all hung up on spoilers, and Vox and I reveal what we have planned for the next few Schwarzenegger episodes. Later on Vox and Mars talk Urban Chaos: Riot Response, Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, the Wedding Singer, click bait gaming articles, the PS4.5, Indiana Jones 5, a new The Tick TV show, and little plastic sleeves for you game manuals. Of course we talk about what we've been playing and the Cartridge Club game of the month, Alan Wake. Big thanks again to vintage for helping us out!
For this episode for Retro Fandango we are joined by Cartridge Club Community pillar,@YoshiKnuckles! Yoshi is on his way to becoming a craftsman of retro console modding and we get an inside look at his schooling and the hardest console to mod for. Also, Yoshi gives Richard's attempt to mod a Sega Genesis with glue a failing grade, Richard thinks Bill from @STCPod might be holding out on his love for the Fast and the Furious, I've give my thoughts on #Deadpool and the new #Ghostbusters trailer, Sega wants to know if you want to play their games on phones, the Kirk vs Picard debate continues, and the Coleco Chameleon starts a YouTube war. We cover, the Cartridge Club game of the month, #AlanWake, and we test our gaming “IQs”. Tighten' up those cheeks and get ready for this packed episode of Retro Fandango! #MyCheeksAreTight
This month we were playing Nier and in this episode P2 is still without his better half but he is joined by four amazing guests including ‘The’ Donovan Viper, ItsRocketSauce, Super Robot Power Hour and Minotaur Zombie!
Will the five be able to cover the entire mysterious story of Nier? Is Kaine hiding something underneath those skimpy clothes? Did anyone break out into tears while playing? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this lengthy episode of the cartridge Club!
another Fandango where we just sit and chat. Love it! Joining hosts
Ram Vox and BuriedOnMars this time is Chris aka @NintendoHodge.
Chris runs the Barrie Game Exchange, a regular swap meet for retro
video gamers in Barrie Ontario. His next show is coming up in late
March, so a big discussion on who and what will be their ensues.
Chris reveals his love for Zelda and zombies; Vox's cough lingers
while he debates if he should read what happens in the Force Awakens
instead of watching the movie; and Mars try's out a new catch phrase.
The Coleco Chameleon stumbles out a “prototype”, the upcoming
Star Trek series gets a show runner, the Kindergarten Cop sequel gets
a trailer, and Nier gets a whole lotta love. So much packed into one
Fandanglers! It's your worst nightmare. Yes, the Fandango takes on
the most muscley muscle man from the jungle, Rambo! Ryan (aka
@itsRocketSauce) and Bill from the STCPodcast (@STCPod) join hosts
Ram Vox and BuriedOnMars to discuss big guns, “fun” facts,
segregated edges (you read that right), the Nape, Stallone's
physique, and bad acting accents. All four films are cover in depth!
Richard Crenna and Brian Dennehy are praised! Co Bao... not so much.
All is here in the all Rambo edition of Retro Fandango!
What better way to start off the new year than with a game that is universally loved? Instead we’re going with Crash Bandicoot 2! Will everyone enjoy the game? Is it possible to complete the game without cheating? Will you learn some interesting facts about Australia? Will we get to hear what Curstiss is looking forward to playing in 2016? Probably not, but find out here!
P2 is lost without his other half, P1, but Steven from Capmax gaming comes to the rescue to help cos-host this month. This dynamic duo is joined by Boomer Ryan, Melissa AKA MrsQDawg and Curstiss from GirlfriendVS!
who's back? You maybe be able to keep the Mars out of Fandango, but
you can't keep the Fandango out of Mars!... or something like that...
For this episode we are joined by Rip from the NARC podcast who was
great at keeping up with the vast amount of side tangents and topics
we covered in this one. Many celebrities have past away recently but
I give Lemmy from Motorhead the proper elegy that JRock forgot to
give him in the last episode, Vox grades a Masters of the Universe
fan film with a big fat F-, we answer some Fandangler Questions,
discuss if Yoshi Knuckles is in or out of the #1Console Challenge,
and give our top 5 games of 2015. News covers a man who leaves his
SNES on for 20 years to preserve a save, and the details of the up
coming Die Hard prequel. We also confirm that Reginald Vel Johnson
is always a cop and get the proper way to pronounce “Nier” locked
up. The Witcher 3, The 3 Stooges, Sonic and urine! All this in one
tiny episode of Retro Fandango!
We're back for another year, Fandanglers! Well, one of us is. Unfortunately, Kevin had to sit this one out so strap yourselves in, listeners, as Mr. Vox does some unsupervised podcasting and tackles his biggest challenge yet...editing! This episode may not have the same level of polish you're accustomed to but the content is there. Especially when you factor in the energy and excitement that can only come from the combined efforts of guest co-hosts @JRockGameRocker and @VintageVGGeek. Together we talk what we've been up to, pirate NES carts, Jessica Jones, Hellboy, the outrageous prices of the Oculus Rift and Lego sets and Vox finally sets the record straight on why Napoleon Dynamite is "STUPID". All that plus a game of quotes and...oh yeah, the #1Console Challenge has begun!!
It's Christmas time again so you know what that means, time for a Run 'N Gun Genesis game! This month was played Gunstar Heroes, is it any good? Does everyone use the same the weapon? Find out here!
P1 and P2 are joined by the ghost of Christmas past, Vintage Video Game Geek, the ghost of Christmas donairs, Cartridge Canuck and that guy who does "Dude, you haven't played this game?!" Miketendo!
Fandanglers! This episode we are all about the Die Hard! Myself and
Mr. Vox are joined by the @MightyQDawg himself, Eric to dive into the
discussion about the greatest action movie ever made. Hans Gruber,
Carl Winslow, Argyl, Water Peck, Johnson & Johnson, and even John
McClain himself are all given the Fandango spot light. We also
manage to squeeze in some news covering the PS4's “Backwards
compatibility”, George Lucas “explains” why Han shoots first
now, and Hooters is opening an arcade in Tokyo. Games we've been
playing, the CC game of the month, and more all in this episode of
episode we head over to merry ol' England to speak with a couple of
blokes. One goes by @TokuJoe and the other @TheDonovanViper. We
talk about what the retro gaming scene is like in England
and the #1Console Challenge gains a lot of participents. The news
covers Sony bringing PS2 games to the PS4, FPSs are #1 in Japan, and
Kevin Bacon is bringing back Tremors to TV! What we've been playing,
who our favorite Spice Girls are, The Cartridge Club game of the
month, Fake Vox, and more! All in this episode of Retro Fandango!
P1 returns for the November show and is joined by P2 as well as JRock, RyHo Magnifico and Chris Roberts. After a month of NES beat em up action what will the Club have to say? Is River City Ransom a smash hit, or does it fall flat on its face?
episode of the Fandango, myself and Mr. Vox are joined by Lo Burton (aka @nintenlo), the writer for the solid gaming blog AndThenSheGames.com. Lo is a
life long gamer with a huge soft spot for the Sega Genesis. After we
settle in with our usual round of guest questions we dive into what
we've been playing and nail down the rules for the One Console
Challenge (Thanks MightyQDawg!). In the news we cover Nintendo's first
mobile game, breeze over a lousy story about women buying consoles,
and Contra heading to Chinese smart phones. Game of the month
talk wrap things up and... oh, we learn how I can't read. Huge
thanks again to Lo for being a great guest and hanging with us.
Hopefully the song at the end of the show isn't too corny! Meh, who
cares if it is? I can't stop listening to it!
This month the club played the hard as nails, Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts. P1 is away fighting his own personal ghouls 'n ghosts so J-Rock steps up to the plate to co-host with P2. Will he be able to fill P1's shoes? Will everyone make it further than P1 would have? This month we are joined by Steven Eidher from CAPMAX Gaming, Brasel the Gamer from Retroholics and Ryan Gorman from Its Rocket Sauce. If you thought the end of Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts was frustrating, wait until the end of this episode!
episode we welcome back friend of the show Twitch @RetroGamerRantn
for a second time to talk about all things Steam and GOG. Well, we
also get a chicken story from Ram Vox followed up with some exciting
announcements I cannot reveal here! And of course we get into a whole bunch of other
stuff. We talk about what we've been playing, Tiffany, The Walking Dead, work out some
of the ground rules for the up coming 2016 console challenge, the new
Star Wars trailer, Nintendo making moves with the NX, The Cartridge
Club game of the month, and more! All here on Retro Fandango!
If I had
a time machine and could pull anyone out of the past, present, or
future to talk about Robert Zemeckis' Back To The Future trilogy; I'd
still end up choosing Curtiss from @GirlfriendVs and the
vintagevideogamegeek @VintageVGGeek. Stories about time travel are
usually plagued with plot holes and the BTTF series is no exception.
While the first is a perfect film and its sequels are great, every
instance where Marty and Doc time travel opens a new discussion of
what the rules of time and space are. And who better to have at it
than four people who have no concept of what time and space is?
Well, no harm done and at least hilarity ensued!
Starting off Season 3 of the Cartridge Club with a bang!... Or a crash... Either way the club was in for an exciting first entry to the racing genre. Was Burnout 3 the right choice for their first racing game? Will Dean from Round2Gaming 100% the game within the first week of playing it? Or will Kevin and Ram Vox from Retro Fandango discover someone relieving themselves with their mic still on? Find out the answers to these questions and more in the first episode of the season 3 of the Cartridge Club!
@TheRamVox (Richard) and @Buried_On_Mars (Kevin) are joined by the
winner of the previous Live Show's trivia @MightyQDawg (Eric). This
was a laid back DeVito episode, but there was no shortage of things
to discuss. We find out what Eric's favorite game of all time is,
Kevin takes us back to the Waterloo game swap and his adventures with
Bill from @STCpod and his wife Sarah @Sarca_Sim, and Richard reveals
his scumbag secrets. We also talk about if we could only collect and
play one system per year, the failing Retro VGS IndieGoGo campaign,
and of course the Cartridge Club game of the month. Eric was a great
guest and I really look forward to having him on again in December.
Retro Fandango, Live! Yes, we pulled it off! We streamed a Live
episode of Retro Fandango to Twitch! Big thanks to JRock for helping
us out with Twitter #RFLive, keeping up with the chat, and asking all
of those trivia questions! And also a huge thanks for P2, for being
our laugh track and staying through to the end of the episode! And
one final thanks to all of those who joined us with a Skype call and
kept the chat alive (you know who you are!) We couldn't get everyone
onto the show but we did get as many as we could. The episode was
great fun for us and it was cool to have people on we normally
wouldn't be able to. I think we will do this again, for sure. I
only made two edits to shorten the two breaks we took. Other than
that, this is live and uncut!
This game sucks. Don't even bother listening to us bitch about it's terrible level design, camera controls or mechanics. This was the worst decision the Cartridge Club has ever made. I personally blame P2. Even the amazing guests of Enzzy, Nintendo Doctor, Game Time with Kyle and Bill from STC couldn't save this stinker of a game. I am so sorry.
I love these episodes. Just a chat with friends. While editing this one, I listened to myself at the beginning of the show and I am such a pill. But our guests all have me in a smashing mood in no time! Co-host Mr.Vox joins up a bit late and has to play catch up for the rest of the conversation since we touched on so many things! Returning guest @Duke0619 from the YouTube channel Retro Nonsense shares his strict rules about finishing a game before starting another. First timer @MrsQDawg from the MightyQDawg channel gives us insight into her favorite game and diving into the Disney Infinity franchise. And P1 from @CartridgeBros has opened his mind to accepting other’s opinions and a new console! Then we all wrap it up with a mini bitch session about the Cartridge Club game of the month, Super Mario Sunshine. And we didn’t even start with a “Choo Choo” before complaining about it.
It was inevitable. With both Mr. Vox and myself being Star Trek fans, we HAD to cover science fiction's best on the Fandango. Doing it ourselves would be impossible, so we got bonafide Trekkies (and fellow CartridgeClub members), Kyle from GameTime With Kyle and the rockin' Shaun @NESromancer to help us out. Since the franchise of Trek is so huge, we stuck to only the Khan/Genesis story arc that begun with the OST episode Space Seed and carried over into three films, Star Trek II, III, & IV. Damn. When you think of it, they were still feeling the effects of Khan well into the fourth movie. Crazy. LLAP people!
The Bros are joined by NESRomancer, Yoshi Knuckles and Darren from the Gaming Pilgrimage to discuss the only instalment ever from Squarest USA. Did they find this as hard to play as Secret of Mana or did their nostalgia hold up?
If there is a controversial topic in gaming, you can bet Retro Fandango will cover it. For episode 20 we are joined by Dean from Round2Gaming (@Round_2_Gaming) and our very own Kimmy Gibbler, JRock the Game Rocker (@JRockGameRocker). With games like Bloodstained, Shenmue 3, and Yooka-Laylee bringing in millions of dollars with promises and by pulling on your nostalgic heart strings; Kickstarter has us retro gamers taking a step back. It is a great platform for developers to produce something they normally wouldn’t be able to, but when the consumer is putting money upfront it is also ripe for corruption. And we ask the question “Where are we heading with this?” Also, JRock has some Larping in his future, Dean plays with trolls, BuriedOnMars gets an Xbox One, and Mr. Vox hits reset on his YouTube channel. We get some of our best stuff out of these laid back shows.
Do you like the Nintendo Entertainment System? So do our three guests, Rip @mail_bag, Chris @CWR2, and John @NESpayne. Separately they are three dudes who are close to each having their own complete collection of North American NES carts, but together they are the North American Retro Collective (or N.A.R.C. for short). We grill these guys for over an hour with questions all about collecting. Where to find games, personal motivations, and balancing it all with real life. This all stems from Mr. Vox needing advice and direction on his collecting and the NARC team were the first people we thought of to help us out. I'm still thrilled we were able to get these guys to spend some time with us on our little show. After listening, if you havent already head over to podomatic and check out the NARC Podcast! http://narcpodcast.podomatic.com/
The Bros are joined by J Rock, Lo and Curtis of GFVS this month to talk about the Capcom smash hit Resident Evil 4. It is a split group of love and distaste this month which always makes for good discussion.
The big gaming companies went all out for this E3 (well most did anyway) and so did we! Hosts Ram Vox and BuriedOnMars talk about Shenmue, Final Fantasy VII, and The Last Guardian... wait... I thought E3 was supposed to be about NEW games? But before all you retro fans out there decide to skip this one, guest and N64 fanatic @itsRocketSauce goes deep into the N64 library to pick out some of his favorite hidden games. Plus, we talk about some shows we're watching and the game of the month. And, you Game of Thrones fans might want to stick until the end for a nod to the season 5 finally... I might be in trouble after this...
Hey... You... Fandanglers! Retro Fandango is back with the Goonies! Hosts BuriedOnMars and Ram Vox are joined by The @CartridgeCanuck (aka Paul) to talk about all things Goonies. We discuss the film, two NES/Famicom games, a possible upcoming sequel and Cyndi Lauper's crazy video/song tie in. We also cover games we've been playing, Ram Vox begins watching Hercules again for some reason, and BuriedOnMars counts the tread marks on his back from the double decker bus the previous episode of the Cartridge Club threw him under. Game of the month, Resident Evil 4 is covered and you'll want to stay to the end for a special guest appreance!
Do a barrel roll! That's right this month the Club tackles the N64 gem Star Fox 64. The Bros are back together and this time they're joined by 3 returning Clubbers, Super Robot Power Hour, Duke from Retro Nonsense and Nintendo Doctor! Did the game stand up to the test of time? Will P1 finally beat a Club game? Is P2 excited for next month's offering? All that and more await your ears.
Bill and Joe from the Start to Continue Podcast (@STCpod, @ACDecepticon) join in on the Fandango to discuss Game of Thrones, snacks, their favorite games, and what we've been playing. Mr. Vox brings yet another fun trivia game to the show, we talk Twitch, answer some listener questions, we finally find out what exactly a "big breakfast" is, and we finish it off with a tribute to BB King. Some messy audio aside, this is a perfect DeVito episode.
Be sure to check out Start to Coninue's blog here, www.stcpod.com
